Message about Michael Turner from Michael George Comicon Chariman

A Message from Comicon Chairman - Michael George

The convention is one week away and I know you are all excited. We're super-excited too, but I do have to give you a bit of bad news. Michael Turner, who has become a dear friend of my wife and I over the years, will not be able to make it to the 2007 Pittsburgh Comicon. As many of you may have heard, Michael is once again going through chemotherapy treatments. He is feeling strong and healthy, but the chemotherapy treatments which are currently being done on Thursdays sap Michael's
strength for week-end events like ours, particularly when you add a cross country flight into the mix. I know many of you will be disappointed by Mr. Turner's absence, but our focus is on the hope that Michael will finally be able to put this behind him and return to Pittsburgh soon. Our hopes and prayers are with him.

Anyone wishing to pass along their best wishes for Michael can send
them to:

Dave, Rob and I and our influences.....sorta (PART 1.)

As a listener of our podcast, you have gotten to know Dave, Rob and I over the past 43 episodes. We have been influenced by many of the same things over the years and thats what makes us a good group for a podcast. Things like....

MINUS JEM

Classic 80's Movies

More Movies....few F bombs in here

You know what Jack Burton always says at a time like this....

KITT

and you can't forget the Simpsons

Episode 43

Dave hunts for news on the web. Dltv has a techtv flashback in podcast news. Rob and Dave review Grindhouse. I review Disturbia. Dave gives us the rundown on The New Avengers last issue. The Hollywood Saloon gets podlit. And a question is put out to the listeners. Will they respond? Find out next week on That's Good to Know.

Episode 42

In this episode we cover DRM, or lack of DRM on itunes. Truth Seekers reaches its one year anniversary, and the top 5 list includes some racketeering on the Hotspot. Dave covers Powers, while Rob covers Sandman Vol 1 in Tradetalk. Rob reviews Slither, staring Malcolm Reynolds.....I mean Nathon Fillion. The podlight shines brightly on geekacres (the site is http://www.geekacres.info...not what I said).

After you listen to the show if you have this craving to watch Transformers the movie, Mission Accomplished.
